We are now offering Short Courses in Photography for beginners through to experienced photographers. The courses are run by Stephen Ellis, an AIPP Accredited Photographer and Top 10 Finalist in the 2007 Australian Bridal Industry Awards, who has conducted workshops in Digital Workflow for various camera clubs and the Photographic Society of Queensland's annual convention as well as Studio Lighting workshops for camera clubs as well as the Napoleon Perdis Makeup Academy in Brisbane. Gallery Xposure is pleased to announce a workshop on Street Photography by Sam Bienstock, a 40 year veteran of the art. He has had numerous exhibitions and credits in publications in Australia, Europe and the USA. The course begins with a half day seminar that will examine the history, philosophy, technique and technology of street photography. The group will also review practitioners and critique some of Australias and Worlds most notable examples of the craft. Following the seminar, the participants will be given one week to fulfil assignments for a second class session devoted to analysis and peer appraisal of photographs taken. Participants are expected to have a more than basic knowledge of photography, and a camera (digital or film, but not phone!).
