Images captured on Olympus E-520
Epson was another company who increased their floor space at this year's PMA Australia 'Imaging Technology Show' and for good reason too with their large format printers getting even larger!
Molly McHugh from Epson was exceptional providing time to run through the latest Epson product, and was quick to point out that today was a global launch date for the new Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 large format printers.
These new printers come in the size range of 24 inches and 44 inches wide respectively. The size of each printer requires a fair amount of floor space - with no chance of either sitting on your desk next to your monitor!
Ms McHugh said that Epson this time around are including professional photographers as a target market for the 7900 and 9900 models.
For the first time in Australia the 11880 was on show. This 64 inch this printer is for people serious about producing high quality, large format images.
And on an exclusive side, Ms McHugh provided a sneak peak at the soon to be launched Epson Stylus 2880. There were minimal details available as a press release was not yet available, but we were told the printer uses Ultrachrome K3 inks with vivid Magenta - 8 colour resin coated pigment ink set for a wide colour gamut with vibrant purples and blues. The 2880 is designed to produce exceptional black and white photographs with smooth tonal graduation and superior neutral grey tones. There is wide paper support on cut sheet and roll paper - including glossy, matt and fine art papers up to 1.3mm thick. |

The samples at the stands were very impressive proving a great indicator to professionals of what can be achieved with a high quality image at their disposal.
