Canon PIXMA iX7000 A3 Inkjet Printer

canon090820a.jpgCanon UK have today announced the launch of a powerful, premium quality A3 inkjet printer, the PIXMA iX7000, a printer perfectly designed to satisfy the needs of Small Office Home Office’s(SOHO’s) and SMEs.

The PIXMA iX7000 includes Canon’s patented PgR (Pigment Reaction) technology, which enables business users to create commercial quality, eye-catching documents on plain paper – handy for posters, leaflets and other promotional materials.

Photo lab quality printing with LUCIA Ink
Canon’s PgR technology uses six cartridges - five of which are LUCIA pigment-based coloured inks plus a clear ink - that produce incredibly sharp, laser-quality prints with high colour intensity, minimal colour bleed and print-through. PgR also ensures that documents are long-lasting, smudge-resistant and water-fast, making them suitable for any kind of business use.  LUCIA inks are housed in individual tanks to help reduce business costs.

PgR is teamed with Canon’s FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) technology – which offers grain-free printing at resolutions of up to 4800 dpi with a 2pl droplet size. Canon has also become one of the first printer manufacturers to embrace ISO/IEC 24734 print speed standard, which enables users to compare printer speeds between different models and manufacturers using industry standards. The PIXMA iX7000 is capable of producing approximately 10.2ipm (images per minute) in mono and approximately 8.1ipm in colour using the ISO/IEC 24734 speed measurement test.

Flexible print options
Whether users plan to use the PIXMA iX7000 in a SOHO, SME or local workgroup environment, they’ll be pleased to hear that the printer also offers plenty of flexibility with a 3-way paper feed. This includes a large capacity lower cassette that’s capable of holding up to 250 sheets of plain paper up to A3 in size, with a 10-sheet plain paper tray for manual feeds. At the rear is a 20-sheet tray for holding photo paper, plus an auto duplex unit that enables users to print automatically on both sides of plain paper sheets, also up to A3 in size. The PIXMA iX7000 is also compatible with a wide range of paper sizes, including A5, B5, A4, B4 as well as A3, making it perfect for use with any kind of business document.
