Canon Australia has announced a new addition to its successful EOS DSLR camera range, created in response to consumer demand for advanced creative control and functionality. The EOS 7D is a new entrant in the DSLR product range sitting above the highly acclaimed EOS 50D, and offers speed, quality and unprecedented versatility to enthusiast photographers looking to expand their creativity across all aspects of photography.

The EOS 7D is the best all-rounder in the EOS range, able to capture a variety of subjects in different shooting conditions. Designed for keen photographers who want to take a step up from their entry-level DSLR, or those who want to expand their hobby to new areas of photography, the EOS 7D is packed with features. 19-point Auto Focus means that images will always be crisp and clear, and with a standard ISO range (100-6400) expandable to an incredible 12800, photographers will be able to capture sharp images in lower light environments than ever before.

Like other Canon EOS DSLR models, the EOS 7D features Live View shooting for greater flexibility and creative composition. New Live Face Detection AF mode identifies and captures faces in frame and focuses on them automatically, meaning portraits will always appear sharp.

The Dual DiG!C 4 image processors provide lightning-fast speed. The EOS 7D can shoot at speeds of eight frames per second, with the ability to capture 90 shots in a single continuous burst, so the perfect shot will never be missed.

Intuitive features like Auto Lighting Optimiser and Peripheral Illumination correction ensure that while users are experimenting with new shooting situations and styles, they are still capturing high-quality shots. The EOS integrated cleaning system prevents and automatically removes tiny dust particles, resulting in cleaner images. Images can easily be seen on the new 3-inch Clear View II LCD screen, with anti-reflection and a smudgeresistant surface for seeing photo previews clearly.
