Anne Noble
Ice Blink: Antarctic Photographs
Ice Blink is a nautical term indicating the presence of ice a long way off. This exhibition includes imaginary Antarctic landscapes, in museums, research centres, aquariums and Antarctic theme parks throughout the world. Drawing on formal conventions of photographic beauty, Noble also investigates the phenomena of whiteout by photographing the shifting effects of light on white at the point where human perception flounders. Noble has been photographing
imagined and re-created Antarctic landscapes as well as Antarctic tourism since 2002, when she spent two weeks in Antarctica as a New Zealand Antarctic Arts
Fellow.
Gallery Three
Steven Sebring
Objects of Life
Objects of Life is a fascinating exhibition of photographs, objects and video inspired by Steven Sebring’s time with Patti Smith during 11 years of filming the documentary Dream of Life. Including14 large-scale photographs, this collection ranges from Smith’s childhood dress to an ancient urn containing the remains of Smith’s close friend Robert Mapplethorpe. Also featured is a painting by Smith and a video installation of her creating an artwork, as well as personal belongings from both artists whose collaboration is grounded by their relationship to the film and their individual personal experiences.
Gallery Four
Liv Barrett, James Deutsher, Christopher LG Hill, Chris Kraus and Evergreen Terrace
Foto-Ography
Approaching photography as a continual medium, Foto-Ography is an interactive installation that will develop and change over the duration of the exhibition. Consisting of photocopies, soft furnishings, photographic feetseats, video works from guest artists and a reading area that includes artists books, publications and texts sourced from the internet. The gallery will become a collaborative space that is social, tactile and variable.
Night Projection Window

Designed specifically for CCP’s Night Projection Window this video gradually reveals the façade of CCP, including he surrounding architecture and the viewer. Inviting questions about the potential performative role of this public exhibition space.
