Panasonic showcases latest digital photography technologies alongside iconic photographic legends
Australian photographers will be among the first in the world to try the new Panasonic LUMIX G Series models this weekend, as the company showcases its new line of digital cameras and multimedia cameras at the PMA Imaging and Technology Show in Sydney.
Panasonic is showcasing its new LUMIX DMC-GF3 Micro Four Thirds camera to the public for the first time since its unveiling in Japan last week. The GF3 is the smallest interchangeable lens camera in the world1 – weighing in at less than 222 grams.
Also being launched this weekend is the LUMIX G3 Micro Four Thirds camera, the new LEICA G Series lens and four new hand-sized multimedia cameras. Alistair Robins, General Marketing Manager, Imaging, Panasonic Australia, said PMA gives consumers and trade an excellent opportunity to see first-hand the new and exciting Panasonic products.
“This is a rare opportunity for Australian photographers to be amongst the very first in the world to try our new range of products,” Robins said. “PMA is one of the world’s leading imaging shows and we’re pleased to be able to launch such a strong line-up here in Sydney this weekend.”
Also featured at the Panasonic stand will be a series of tutorials from acclaimed landscape photographer Ken Duncan and award winning surf film maker Jack McCoy. Both will be at the stand throughout the weekend to offer tips and inspiration to aspiring photographers.
Attendees at PMA will also have the opportunity to see the convenience of shoot, share and store with Panasonic 3D capable products. Panasonic’s 3D-capable consumer camcorders, the HDC-HS900, HDC-SD900 and HDC-SD902, allow users to capture outstanding images and enjoy them with others on their 3DTV.
The exhibition will be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre from Friday 24th of June and is open to the public on Saturday 25th June – Sunday 26th June, 2011. The Panasonic stand number is 448, located at the centre of Hall 4.
Those interested in attending can pre-register at http://www.pmaaustralia.com.au/a/122.html for free entry. A $20 fee will be charged at the door for those who have not pre-registered on-line.
