Samsung has today announced the Samsung HMX-E10 camcorder; an essential item for any back pocket or handbag which allows you to capture all of life’s important moments from any angle thanks to its 270-degree swivelling lens. Offering Full High Definition (HD) resolution, the Samsung HMX-E10’s swivelling lens brings a new dimension of scope to recording video, and gives you the ability to step out from behind the camcorder and put yourself in the frame with your friends and family.

Samsung is also making it easier for you to share content with others with the Samsung HMX-E10’s built-in USB port function. The USB feature allows you to connect the camcorder directly to any computer without added attachments, like a USB cable, enabling you to share important moments wherever you are. The USB connection can also be used to directly charge the built-in battery.

“Samsung is focused on introducing features to our camcorders which address consumer needs and take the video recording experience to the next level for our customers,” said Sagar Dave, Digital AV Marketing Manager, Samsung Electronics Australia. “The Samsung HMX-E10 cleverly combines the best possible image quality with a compact design and convenient built-in USB technology. Going a step beyond, the camcorder also offers features such as a swivelling lens, easy uploading of content, a versatile LCD touch screen and a range of smart filters, which together give users the ability to capture and share more while on the go.”

Easy Connectivity and Sharing

The Samsung HMX-E10 has been designed to help simplify the way you share your content with others. Samsung’s new camcorder is loaded with Samsung’s play-edit-sharing program, called Intelli-studio. This intuitive program gives you the ability to edit and play your video from any computer without having to install supporting software. This will come in handy when you’re on the road or when you’re away from your personal computer.

An interactive and onscreen “upload” button on the Samsung HMX-E10 also makes uploading footage to the Web effortless. When connected to a computer with an internet connection, the one-touch “upload” button links directly to a specified content sharing website, such as YouTube™, and reduces the number of steps needed to successfully upload and share video.

High-Performance Sensor and Versatile Display

At the heart of the Samsung HMX-E10 is a large, high-performance 1/3.2 inch CMOS sensor that captures impressive 1920x1080 Full HD resolution video (30p / H.264) as well as eight mega-pixel digital still images. On the back of the camcorder is a 2.7-inch vertical LCD touch screen. When recording video, the touch screen is divided into two sections that allow you to both view your images and videos and also select menu options to edit or control the content, such as record, stop and play. You’ll be able to swivel the camcorder’s 270-degree lens directly from the menu bar to put yourself in the frame and become part of the action. When reviewing footage, you can hold the Samsung HMX-E10 horizontally, so that you can leverage the entire display to view your video in widescreen.

The Samsung HMX-E10 is available now for an (AUD) RRP of $249.
