Sony A65 Digital SLT Camera

sony20110824ca.jpgSony Launches 24.3 Megapixel A65 Camera with Class Leading continuous Autofocus and 10 Frames Per Second shooting speed

Translucent Mirror Technology and Exmor APS HD CMOS Sensor brings professional-grade performance to enthusiast photographers

Sony has expanded its award winning range of interchangeable lens cameras with the launch of the new A-Mount A65 (Alpha 65). The A65 boasts advanced features including the fastest shutter response in its class, and is designed to appeal to entry-level photographers who are looking for superior performance in their photographic experience.

Inside the sleek, frame of the A65 is an advanced version of Sony’s award-winning Translucent Mirror Technology featuring a 15-point AF three cross-sensor system and full-time continuous AF, which delivers fast shooting at up to 10fps. The A65 also features Sony’s enhanced 24.3 megapixel resolution Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor and newly developed BIONZ image processor to ensure every shot has excellent image fidelity

sony20110824cb.jpgThe A65 contains a host of advanced features, including the world’s first XGA OLED Tru-Finder™, providing the best resolution, contrast and responsiveness of any EVF on the market. The unprecedented 2,359k dots (XGA) resolution and 100% field of view give users sharp, bright images rivaling the performance of optical viewfinders found in much more expensive pro-grade cameras.  Thanks to the  65’s ground-breaking technology, the image seen by photographers through the viewfinder will now be reproduced in the final product giving users greater confidence in composing their shots.

For users who prefer framing their shots on a larger screen, the A65 also offers a two-way adjustable 3” Xtra Fine LCD, which offers high resolution (921k dots) and TruBlack technology for superb detail and contrast.  The versatility afforded by the adjustable screen makes it possible to frame a shot from a much wider range of angles.

sony20110824cc.jpgThe A65 also features a number of tools attractive to young filmmakers. Users can now film in both interlace and progressive cinematic mode (25p, 50i, and 50p)– utilizing the faster speed of the new BIONZ processor; a feature rarely found in professional-grade interchangeable lens cameras. P/A/S/M modes are all selectable during video recording, giving users greater control; whether they’re making a simple home video or a cinematic masterpiece.

The A65 will be available from The Sony Centre, online and in camera dealerships Australia-wide from October 2011.
