| Sony First Full HD 3D Home Projector |
 Sony Australia has announced its first Full HD 3D home projector, the VPL-VW90ES, will be available in Australia from December 2010. The perfect Christmas present for home cinema buffs and gamers, the projector combines Sony’s established SXRD panel expertise with Frame Sequential 3D technology – the same technology used in 3D BRAVIA televisions.“The launch of our first Full HD 3D home projector marks the latest step in Sony realising its 3D World vision,” said Jason Lee, Product Manager, Projectors, Sony Australia and New Zealand. “From Sony 3D broadcast cameras capturing live events and the latest Hollywood blockbusters, to Blu-ray 3D movies and PlayStation®3 games, Sony now brings 3D into your lounge room on a home cinema scale.” Built around Sony’s cinema-quality SXRD panel technology, the VPL-VW90ES delivers exactly what 3D connoisseurs demand: a vibrant, bright 3D picture delivered to screens as big as 150 inches in full high definition. This projector uses Sony’s renowned SXRD display system for a smooth, film-like display with vivid colours and ultra-wide dynamic contrast ratio of 150,000:1. Three separate SXRD panels and new optical engine, with Advanced Iris3 technology, combine to give an unparalleled performance, with exceptional detail in every frame. With its sleek design, the VPL-VW90ES is a welcome addition to any home cinema installation. A highly effective cooling system means that fan noise is kept to a whisper quiet 20 decibels. The system features Full HD 3D compatibility for 3D playback and BRAVIA Internet Video, connecting viewers to internet video and programming on demand. With HDMI input, users can also enjoy high quality surround sound through a compatible games console or video player. This stylish home theatre system features Sony’s Monolithic Design concept, a simple and minimal design that matches the BRAVIA TVs and allows the system to integrate seamlessly into a modern living space. Accessories • Two pairs of 3D glasses (which use the same technology as BRAVIA 3D) are included with purchase of the 3D projector in addition to polarised filters that enable the viewing of 3D projection.
