| Casio EX-P505 Digital Camera Firmware Upgrade |
Casio has today announced there is a new firmware upgrade available for the EX-P505.
The update addresses the following: Increases USB communication speed, Adds autumn
leaves scene to snapshot BEST SHOT scenes and Provides support for SD memory cards
greater than 1GB. If you have an EX-P505 with the version number V1.00, Casio
recommend the download via their website.To check your firmware version: On your EX-P505 camera, hold down the [MENU] button as you press the [POWER ON/OFF] switch to turn on the camera. Keep [MENU] depressed until the version of your camera's firmware appears on the monitor screen. 1. If "Ver.1.00" appears, you need to download this update software and install it on your camera. 2. If "Ver.1.01" appears, it means that your camera already is running the latest firmware version, so you do not need to install this update. Requirements for Installing This Update on Your Camera: To install this firmware update on your camera, you must copy it into the root directory (the top directory on the drive) of built-in camera memory or on a memory card. Because of this, you need to have the USB cable (that comes bundled with the camera) on hand or a card slot available on your computer.
