With its 2.7-inch TFT colour display, the EXILIM Zoom EX-Z57 catches
the eye immediately. The particularly large display enables a
true-to-detail view of all motifs and can be comfortably adjusted in
two brightness settings in the event of unfavourable weather
conditions. With 5.0 megapixels and 3x optical zoom, CASIO brings out
the small digital in a very big way.
The EX-Z57 with SUPER LIFE battery is extremely powerful. After only
charging the lithium-ion storage battery once, the power package can
take up to approx. 400 pictures*. The digital camera also impresses
with lots of user-friendly elements like the Auto Macro function, which
switches back and forth independently from autofocus to macro mode as
required. The integrated 4-function flash with red-eye reduction
illuminates photo motifs if required. And should a picture nonetheless
turn out too dark, the Flash Assist function mostly automatically
brightens up photos where necessary. In the CASIO typical BESTSHOT
function, different pre-recorded scenes for all different kinds of
picture situations are offered to the lifestyle photographer. That way
the camera also holds unusual motif programs, e.g. retro, ready for
imaginative photo ideas in addition to the classic settings. The user
can also supplement the already existing motif programs with
self-produced BESTSHOT scenes. Even more creative scope is offered by
the movie function, with which hobby directors discover their film
talent and record movies with sound and without time limit**. The Icon
Help function shows the EXILIM photographer the mode he is currently
using. Consequently, the EX-Z57 in its elegant aluminium body has never
been so easy to use. The picture data is stored on the internal approx.
9.3 MB flash memory, which can be increased as you like with
commercially available SD/MMC cards.
Shape and function complement each other in the EXILIM Zoom EX-Z57. Not
only the beautiful design, but also the innovative technology is
convincing: the accompanying USB docking station produces the
connection to the PC, transfers the picture data to the computer and
charges the powerful storage battery. Together with the docking
station, the multi-talent with the large display is a real eye-catcher
that any design-lover is pleased to have standing on his desk.
Besides the SUPER LIFE battery and docking station, the camera comes
complete with USB cables, extensive software on CD-ROM and carrying
strap. A mobile charger, a lithium-ion rechargeable battery (NP-40),
diverse camera bags and other accessories are optionally available.
The EXILIM Zoom EX-Z57 is available at retail from the end of march 2005.
