 Epson is launching a spectacular range of two sleek Italian-designed multifunction printers for the photo enthusiast, home office and small office, with high end features including wireless connectivity, touch panel display, high resolution scanning and ultra-fast high definition printing.With exterior design by the noted Italian industrial design team at Castiglione Morelli in Milan, these piano-black premium performance printers harmonise with the home lives and work needs of customers, communicating style and quality while conveying substance and ability. “These are aspirational products that allow our customers to express their creative freedom through scanning, faxing, copying and printing their images without the need to connect to a laptop or PC,” Epson’s Director of Marketing Communications, Mike Pleasants, said. The premium Stylus Photo TX800FW and Stylus Photo TX700W both feature comprehensive connectivity including WiFi (802.11b/g), Ethernet, Hi-Speed USB 2.0, PictBridge, and multi-format card reader. The TX800FW has an elegant and intuitive 7.8 inch touch panel that lights up only the buttons necessary to bring essential controls to users' fingertips, and a large 3.5 inch colour LCD screen for easy selecting, copying, enlarging, rotating, cropping, and printing photos without a computer. For fast and efficient document management the TX800FW has an automatic document feeder to copy, scan or fax multi-page originals, and both printers have dual paper trays and an optional duplexer for double sided copying and printing. Both the TX800FW and TX700W are capable of direct CD/DVD printing on compatible disks, print borderless photos on selected paper sizes, and come with Epson PhotoEnhance software which detects faces, enhances skin tones, corrects for backlit images and colour casts, and adjusts the printer to produce natural colours in outdoor scenes. The TX800FW and TX700W feature Epson’s Claria Photographic Ink in six economical individual ink cartridges to create vivid, true-to-life prints with smudge, scratch and water resistance on selected Epson papers and plain paper, as well as fade resistance up to four times longer than photo lab prints on selected Epson papers.* A choice of standard or high capacity ink cartridges is available. Working in partnership with Claria Photographic Ink, the Variable-Sized Droplet technology in Epson's new generation MicroPiezo(R) print head can deliver five ink droplet sizes down to 1.5 picolitres, producing smooth gradations, accurate skin tones and sharp, grain-free prints. The TX800FW and TX700W are fast, economical printers, producing prints and copies in black and colour at up to 40 pages per minute (ppm), and a borderless 4 x 6 inch photo in as few as 10 seconds. The TX800FW scans at up to 4800 dpi optical resolution (48-bit colour) and the TX700W scans at 2400 dpi optical resolution (48-bit colour), for high quality scanning of images and documents with brilliant clarity and accuracy. Both printers are capable of standalone, one-touch colour and black and white copying with a wide range of easy-to-use options including scan to a computer, memory card or USB flash drive, easy photo reprints, enlargements and a convenient fit-to-page printing feature. Both models include OCR software for converting documents into editable text. The Epson Stylus Photo TX800FW is $399 RRP inc GST and the Epson Stylus Photo TX700W is $299 RRP inc GST.
