Epson Australia today released the Epson Stylus CX5700F multifunction printer for home and
small office with fast photo printing speeds, improved photo quality on Epson glossy photo
papers, and inbuilt memory card reader and colour fax.The Stylus CX5700F has an inbuilt fax with a 33.6K bps modem for immediate transmission, and supports the international colour fax standard for colour-to-colour communication. It features a user selectable Auto/Manual answering mode, Auto redial (up to 3 times), and Speed dial (up to 60 addresses). The Stylus CX5700F uses Epson’s DURABrite(TM) Ultra pigment ink which increases the durability of prints, making them smudge and water resistant, and provides up to 120 years lightfastness on selected Epson papers#. DURABrite Ultra adds gloss for text and photo printing on a wide range of paper types ensuring high quality presentation at all times. Using four individual colour Intellidge(TM) ink cartridges the Stylus CX5700F reduces the cost per print by tracking the amount of ink in each cartridge and then alerting users if one or more cartridges are running low. With five card slots (xD, Smart Media, Compact Flash and Micro Drive, Memory Stick, SD card and MultiMedia Card), the Stylus CX5700F offers convenient PC free printing, copying and scanning. For added ease of use, the Stylus CX5700F supports PictBridge, a camera industry standard that facilitates fast and easy to use PC-free digital printing of high quality photographs directly from digital cameras. The Stylus CX5700F prints 6x4 inch BorderFree(TM) photos in 51 seconds, and can print at up to 20ppm (A4 pages per minute) in monochrome and 19 A4ppm in colour. The Stylus CX5700F delivers true BorderFree(TM) printing and copying for 6x4 inch, 5x7 inch, and A4 documents and photos. High quality prints can have a resolution of up to 5760 dpi (dots per inch) using RPM (Resolution Performance Management) technology on selected Epson photo papers. The 1200 x 2400dpi scanner and easy to use copying facilities mean that the Stylus CX5700F allows users to scan anything from documents to photos with outstanding results. The Stylus CX5700F multifunction printer includes Epson Creativity Suite software consisting of Epson File Manager, Scan Assist, Attach to Email, Image Clip Palette, Copy Utility, Easy Photo Print and Web-To-Page for all scanning and printing needs. The new slimline design and easy to use control panel featured on the Stylus CX5700F adds to the functionality and convenience for home users, small businesses and students requiring professional and high quality documents and photos at a low cost.
