Epson Two Prestigious EISA Accolades
The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) has announced that Epson has been awarded two prestigious accolades for its professional digital imaging products. The EISA Photo Panel comprising fifteen leading industry experts from across Europe, has recognised Epson's commitment to providing innovative and professional imaging solutions. EISA voted the Epson Stylus Pro 3800 as the best 'European Photo Printer, 2007-2008' and the Epson P-5000 as the best 'European Image Tank, 2007-2008.'

Featuring Epson UltraChrome K3(TM) Ink technology the Stylus Pro 3800 delivers high-quality print output for the fine art, proofing and professional photography markets. The Epson P-5000 is the worlds' first multimedia storage device to feature a four-colour filter system for an unrivalled colour gamut in images displayed on its four inch Photo Fine Ultra LCD panel. Epson has designed both products to deliver the highest image quality to meet the demands of the professionals in the digital imaging industry.

The EISA panel commented, "The Epson Stylus Pro 3800 is a fast, professional but also affordable, large format photo printer. Delivering archival quality pictures of up to A2 format with a 9-ink pigment UltraChrome K3 system, it is designed to produce colour or monochrome work on a diverse range of material extending beyond the traditional matt and gloss papers. Combining a moderate footprint, economical running costs and high commercial quality, it is unrivalled as a desktop printer for enthusiasts and professional photographers."

For the Epson P-5000 the EISA panel commented, "This multimedia device has an 80GB hard disk, CF and SDHC card slots, a removable battery and high-speed data transfer capability. It is very simple to use, with a straightforward user interface displayed on a four inch high-performance colour LCD screen with exceptional resolution. New Epson Photo Fine Ultra technology uses four-colour filters so the LCD can display up to 16.7 million colours - a colour gamut that comes very close to the Adobe RGB space."

Mike Pleasants, Marketing Communications Director for Epson Australia said: "Epson not only delivers unprecedented high-quality products, it has a history of entering the market with innovative and leading edge technology. The Epson P-5000 is the worlds' first multimedia storage viewer with a four-colour filter system, providing an unrivalled colour gamut. The A2, Epson Stylus Pro 3800 features UltraChrome K3 Ink technology, renowned as a revolutionary step in pigment ink and has become the ink of choice for many professionals in the photo, fine art and proofing markets. We are delighted that the EISA Photo Panel has commended Epson for these innovations with two prestigious awards."
