Epson VIC Photographer of the Year
Daniel Murphy has won the 2007 Epson Victorian Professional Photographer of the Year Award for his outstanding images titled, Ayutthaya, Thailand; Blue Mosque, Istanbul; Headless Mirror Man and Robotman.

Since winning the Epson Victorian photographer of the Year Award Daniel said he is keen to start printing his work in house on his new Epson Stylus Pro 7880.

Daniel has been a professional photographer for only a few years and said that he has been slowly building up his portfolio and now mainly sells his images as fine art prints.

"I really try to specialise in the travel and landscape area, aiming to produce fine art limited prints, similar to what Ken Duncan and Peter Lik have done but with my own moody style thrown in. Another photographer I admire would have to be Tasmanian landscape photographer, the late Peter Dombrovski," said Daniel.

"Epson's dedication to excellence in photographic and fine art print making is demonstrated not only by its drive to deliver market leading products such as the newly released UltraChrome(TM) K3 Ink with Vivid Magenta featured on our recently launched Stylus Pro 880 series, but its ongoing support and sponsorship of events such as the AIPP Victorian Awards," Epson's Solutions Business Manager, Craig Heckenberg said.

Along with the major award, Epson Victorian Photographer of the Year, Daniel also won, Landscape Photographer of the Year, Illustrative Photographer of the Year, along with the highest scoring print in the Landscape category and highest scoring print by a member.

Epson has announced that it will continue to sponsor each State (WA, SA QLD, ACT, NSW, VIC and TAS) for the Epson Professional Photographer of the Year Awards for another three years, continuing its support of photography excellence in Australia.
