| Kodak PROSHOTS Awarded |
The Eastman Kodak Company today was
awarded a 2005 Hot1 Award by Professional Photographer magazine in recognition of its
feature-rich PROSHOTS system. The Hot1 Awards acknowledge the year’s most sought-after
products, judged on innovation, overall quality and value for the price.“Kodak is committed to providing top-of-the-line software solutions for professional photographers,” said Guy Smith, KODAK PROSHOTS System manager, Professional Output. “We’re giving photographers the tools and resources they need to save time and increase sales. Our latest set of system enhancements increase functionality and creative options for photographers – ultimately raising their bottom line.” The KODAK PROSHOTS System, a powerful set of workflow and selling tools for professional wedding, social and portrait photographers, aids in the process of image-management, design, sales and ordering. Recent upgrades to both PROSHOTS Basics Software and PROSHOTS Studio Software Suite offer expanded editing and selling solutions for users. The software enhancements will be on display in the Kodak booth during the Imaging USA trade show in Austin, Texas USA today through Tuesday, January 24. PROSHOTS Basics Software v 3.0 KODAK PROSHOTS Basics Software v3.0 provides an improved on-screen rendering of the advanced digital template designs that most professional labs now offer. While PROSHOTS Basics Software continues to be free, Kodak has introduced the Designer Pro Plug-in, which can be licensed for $99US (132.16 AUD) (including tax). The Designer Pro Plug-in provides an additional feature set that enables photographers to modify pre-set templates from their labs or create truly customized designs from free-form canvases. Users can create distinctive templates, incorporating their unique style and capturing the moment and personality of their customers. PROSHOTS Studio Software Suite v6.4 Maintaining its commitment to quality, Kodak has released a free upgrade to KODAK PROSHOTS Studio Software Suite. The version 6.4 upgrade enables users to easily sort existing jobs, print key tables from the database function and view better descriptions in the print ordering window. PROSHOTS Online Services Users of the latest versions of PROSHOTS Basics Software and PROSHOTS Studio Suite will have access to a new feature in KODAK PROSHOTS Online Services. Photographers will be able to sell pre-set templates through their PROSHOTS System’s internet storefront. Customers can select templates, drag and drop images, enter text and see their digital product on-screen before placing their order. Prior to this improvement, photographers were limited to selling standard print sizes without templates. In addition, photographers will be happy to note that the User Rewards Program will be offered again through Dec 31, 2006. Through this program, photographers using our ProShots Online Services can earn back 10-20% of their transaction fees. |
